Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut (Oil)

Many of us grew up at a time where oil = bad for your skin. But in the past few years beauty companies have come to embrace certain plant and nut oils that cultures have been using for centuries. One of our favorite oils from nature is Argan, both for it’s versatility as well as it’s anti-aging properties.

Argan oil is derived from the nut of the Argan tree, which is native to Morocco where it has been used both for food and beauty for hundreds of years. And it’s no wonder why…

1:  Moisture Moisture Moisture
The high content of omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin E make this oil incredibly moisturizing for skin. And moisturized skin is healthy skin.

2:  Not Greasy
Unlike other oils, Argan absorbs into skin quickly and does not leave a greasy residue on the skin.

3:  Did You Say Wrinkles?
Argan is one of nature’s strongest combatants to wrinkles. The vitamin A & E in the oil help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, leaving skin looking younger.

4:  All Skin Types
The versatility of this oil cannot be overstated. It has been proven to reduce sebum levels in individuals with oily skin and is incredibly gentle. So no matter your skin type, including sensitive, you can benefit from Argan.

5:  Anti-Aging Properties
So we covered the incredible moisturizing properties and wrinkles, but the benefits do not stop there. It’s anti-oxidant effect make it a great anti-ager. Argan helps restore skin’s elasticity making it plumper and softer.

6:  Soft to the Touch
OK so we just said soft, but it’s worth repeating. Seriously, try to stop touching your skin after applying, you won’t be able to.

7:  Acne
Many moisturizers and creams exacerbate acne, but Argan is quite the opposite. It actually helps soothe skin and given that it helps reduce sebum, it helps reduce acne.

It’s no surprise that many of our favorite facial oils include Argan as a main ingredient.
